We leave Durban in the early morning and embark on your Durban Big 5 Day safari, taking a scenic drive towards Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Park. Once through the safari park’s northern Memorial Gate, we begin our game viewing, keeping a lookout out for the numerous white and black rhino for which this safari park is famous. On our way up towards Hilltop Camp we may encounter other members of the Big5.
Arriving at Hilltop camp, we settle down for an optional lunch at the Mpuyane restaurant. From here we have an opportunity to take in the stunning views of the valleys below. A perfect spot to lookout for vultures and Bateleur eagles flying above in search of prey. After lunch we continue our safari game drive, on the lookout for the largest and smallest of the animal kingdom. By visiting one of the many “Hides”, we will increase our chances of seeing animals coming to quench their thirst in the hot African sun. The big cats are all found in Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Park.
