Durban tour guide Rob, collected our guests for their three day Big5 safari from Durban.
Our first stop on this Big5 safari was Emdoneni Cheetah Lodge. Here we were taken around and shown Emdoneni’s cat rehabilitation project. Our guests got to spend some time in the cheetah enclosure with these graceful animals. They also got to see other cats such as, serval, caracal and African wild cat.
Next we moved on to Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Park. Highlights over this three day Big5 safari from Durban included, a pride of six lion, very close sightings of giraffe and herds of elephant. Our guests also saw zebra, rhino, buffalo, wildebeest and a number of antelope and bird species.
The last day of this safari included a boat estuary safari cruise down the St Lucia estuary. Here we spotted hippo, crocodile and fish eagle, whilst taking in the amazing estuary surroundings.
